Athetis lepigone （Moschler） was new pest in China, which belonged to Noctuidaeand of Lepidoptera, and it mainly damaged summer maize, beans, sweet potato, and so on. In recent years, Athetis lepigone （Moschler） caused great loss on summer maize in middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. In this article, Athetis lepigone （Moschler） was summarized from morphological characteristics, damage and biological characteristic, and the control technolo- gies were also introduced, in order to provide scientific basis and theoretical guidance for effective control of Athetis lepigone （Moschler）.
