在建筑科学技术领域,钱学森站在马克思主义哲学的高度,纯熟地运用系统思想和系统方法,高瞻远瞩地、独具匠心地提出了一系列在建筑科学技术领域有深远影响的战略思想:提出要建立一门新的技术科学——城市学;提出未来城市发展的模式——山水城市的战略构想;提出"建筑哲学是建筑科学技术大部门的领头学科";提出要区分宏观建筑和微观建筑的思想;提出建筑科学技术作为独立的一个科学技术大部门并且构筑了体系结构。这些战略思想为建筑科学技术理论的发展和实践的推进都打下了坚实的基础。

In the area of building science and technology, Qian Xuesen, standing in the Marxist philosophy ahi- tude, utilizing the system thinking and the system approach skillfully, taking a long- range approach, had a spe- cial inventive mind to propose a series of strategic concept of profound influence in area of the building science and technology ： that we must establish a new technical science - - city study ; that ＂the construction philosophy is the leading discipline of the big department of building science technology＂ ; that we must differentiate the macroscopic construction and the microscopic construction; and that the building science and technology takes an independent big department. He had constructed the architecture himself. What＇ more he had proposed the strategic conception of the future city development pattern -Shan - Shui city. These strategic concepts had built the solid foundation for theoretical development and the practice advancement of the building science and technology.
