摘要 The Hani Terraces in Yunnan Province are largely distributed over counties such as Yuanyang, Honghe, and Liichun in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Various ethnic groups, predominantly the Hani people, have opened up and cultivated these rice terraces for hundreds of years, hence the name "Hani Terraces." Showing an extraordinary harmony between man and nature, the terraces are seen as masterpieces of terraced field culture and wonders in the world history of agriculture, In 2000 a campaign was launched to achieve World Heritage status, and following 10 years' effort,
