Sustainable development of scientific journals from the perspective of ecology

通过分析科技期刊的生态特征和组织结构,分层面指出科技期刊可持续发展的主要特征,有针对性地提出改善科技期刊可持续发展的策略,并作举例分析。认为科技期刊应主动顺应出版生态规律,处理好与生存环境及竞争对手等多层次、多因素的关系,才能提升自己的核心竞争力,实现可持续发展。

This paper analyzes the ecological characteristics and structures of scientific journals. Some strategies are proposed from different levels for improving the sustainable development of scientific journals. It is concluded that from the perspective of ecology, scientific journals should adapt to the publishing ecology, pay more attention to the multi-factors and their interactions in the ecological system of scientific journals, which can promote their core competitiveness and achieve the sustainable development.
