摘要
1868年伴随着康奈尔大学的诞生,"康奈尔计划"也随之形成。这一计划是两位创办者康奈尔与怀特办学思想的集中体现。康奈尔大学首任校长怀特成功将二人先进的办学思想从理念付诸实践,即"康奈尔计划"的实施。校长怀特与其继任者亚当斯和舒尔曼的实践使得"康乃尔计划"让年轻的康奈尔大学办学模式独树一帜。"康奈尔计划"的形成和发展体现了美国大学社会服务理念的演变过程,在美国高等教育史上是具有里程碑意义的。这一计划随着大学和时代的发展而不断地拓展,对当时美国高等教育的僵化体制、专制管理以及迂腐的教学传统产生了巨大的冲击,它的发展顺应了历史发展的潮流,使其最终走向卓越而举世闻名。
The "Cornell Plan" has gradually formed with the birth of Cornell University m l^bts. An- drew Dickson White and Ezra Cornell are the founders of the university. As the first president,White and the second Adams and the third president Schurman turned the founders' ideas into a real plan. That is the "Gornell Plan" which made the new university become prosperous, and it has an amazing impact on the rigidified system, dictatorial management and pedantic teaching of American higher education at that time.
