摘要
基于双螺旋屏幕扫描式的体显示系统,设计并实现了一种面向真实立体空间的三维数据场可视化方法。利用双螺旋屏幕的旋转运动扫描出均质稳定的图像空间,渲染过程中将规则的三维离散数据场分割成一组间隔均匀的螺旋切片,采用分层体绘制方法将这些数据切片渲染成一系列单独的切片图像。切片图像序列通过高频投影方式依次投射到图像空间,采用多线程技术实现投影时序与屏幕运动之间的同步机制,最终完整的三维图像被周期性地逐层扫描显示出来。实验结果表明,该方法输出的空间图像均匀清晰,呈现自然的立体状态,保留了固有的三维尺度,可以环绕显示器提供全方位的观察自由度。
Based on double-helicoid swept-volume display system,this paper proposes and implements a 3D datasets volume visualization scheme in real stereoscopic space.Homogenous image space is created by the screen's rotational scanning.In rendering process,3D regular discrete data is subdivided into a series of helicoid slices evenly.Then each data slice is rendered into an image frame separately.The rendered images are projected into the imaging space in rapid succession through a high-speed projector.By using multi-thread technique,synchronization between projected images sequence and screen's rotation is achieved.Finally the whole spatial image is scanned out layer by layer.The experimental results show that elements of the presented spatial images are uniformly distributed and well defined.All three dimensionalities of the images are reserved inherently;this approach offers omni-directional viewing freedom around the display.
