Based on the strategic management perspective, firstly, this paper analyzes the connotation of strategic management and the core competitiveness of university libraries. Secondly, it studies the basic elements of the core competitiveness and the basic features of strategic management of university library. Thirdly, it explains the promoting strategies of the strategic management of university library to enhance the core competitiveness. Lastly, it emphasizes the university libraries to enhance the core competitiveness should pay attention to the construction of culture, especially culture of its management system, the reader＇s service and academic research.
