摘要
随着经济全球化,世界一体化进程的加快,企业在跨国经营过程中必然会遭遇文化差异带来的管理难题。以跨文化的视角来研究企业管理面对的员工心态具有较高的理论意义和实践意义。本研究基于霍夫斯泰德的文化维度理论,通过对中外企业文化的实证研究发现,在权力距离、不确定性规避、个体主义与集体主义、阳刚气质与阴柔气质、长期导向与短期导向等5个文化维度中,不同文化背景下的企业员工所处的现实情况和其对企业文化期望水平存在显著性差异。在分析员工文化差异特性的基础上,建议企业的管理者应采取有针对性的措施以提高组织运作效率。
With rapid proceeding of Globalization nowadays, it is highly possible that many problems, caused by cultural differences, occur when the entrepreneurs run the business across countries. As a result, it is both theoretically and practically meaningful to study the mechanism of cross-cultural management. Based on nofstede's Theory of Cultural Dimensions, with comparison between Chinese business culture and that of foreign countries, we have found obvious differences exist not only in the current situation where staffs with different cultural background are in, but in the expectancy on corporate culture of these staffs, as well. These differences are found in five cultural dimensions including power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism or collectivism, masculine or feminine quality and long-term orientation or short-term orientation. Obviously, having a deep understanding of cultural differences will do great favor for the enterprises to make cross-cultural management accordingly and properly.
