Since the 1990s, the global insurance industry has experienced an unprecedented wave of mergers. Eco- nomic integration in the world, insurance globalization, advanced scientific and technological means, government poli- cy and regulatory changes have played important role of large-scale insurance mergers and acquisitions. The large-scale insurance mergers have a very important strategic significance to China＇ s insurance industry.
