文学作品中的隐喻翻译不能仅局限于意思的转达,还要关注隐喻意象的处理,这样才能使目的语读者与源语言读者一样欣赏到其中的文化内涵。按照隐喻意象的留与变,隐喻翻译法可分成三种类型:隐喻意象留存、隐喻意象缺位和隐喻意象借用。借助这三种类型对《茶馆》的霍华译本和英若诚译本中的隐喻翻译进行对比分析,从而发现两译本绝大多数隐喻翻译都是成功的,再次证明这两译本的经典性。

Translating the metaphor in literary works is not a simple work of meaning - conveying. The image in the metaphor also demands attention, only through which will readers of target language have the chance of appreciating the cultural connotation in the literary works as the readers of source language do. According to the different treatment of image, the metaphor translation falls in to three kinds ： image - keeping, image - losing and image - borrowing. With these three, attempts are made to analyze metaphor translation in Teahouse. The analysis and findings confirm that Howard＇s version and Ying Ruocheng＇s version are classic.
