Education experts believe that primary school pupils are in the critical period of learning a second language. During this time, they can be greatly motivated to learn English without much burden. What teachers should do is to create a pleasant study environment, to motivate them by teaching through lively activities and to lay emphasis on open evaluations of the pupils so as to help them acquire English effectively.
