The market-oriented reform course is review in the electric power and natural gas industries by introducing the theory of network industry convergence. The convergence motivation is analyzed in the network industries after the spin-off reform. The results show that the deregulation, development of the information technology, market competition and consume demand promote the convergence in the network energy industries. The market-oriented reform course shows that the convergence in the network energy industries is taking shape in China driven by the various factors.
