The status of the political classroom teaching in higher vocational institutions is worrisome. The application of situational teaching method can effectively stimulate student interest, activate classroom atmosphere, develop their ability, and improve teaching effectiveness. This article introduces the application of the situational teaching method in political class and the problems needed to notice, in order to improve the teaching effect of Ideological and political theory and provide a good reference.
