“氣”与“気”:葛艾儒对张载哲学的诠释

“Qi” and “qi”: Irae Kasoff's interpretation of Zhang Zai's philosophy

美国学者葛艾儒,遵循哲学概念分析法,以原始意义上的"氣"和凝聚意义上的"気"作为诠释架构,从宇宙论、人性论等方面重新建构了张载哲学的现代体系;他辨别张载之学与程朱之学的异同,批判牟宗三以及冯友兰的张载哲学研究,展现出严谨的诠释精神。葛氏张载研究具有的概念分析法和文献学基础的诠释特色,也颇具启发意义。为了拓宽张载研究的广度,海外张载研究亟待学术界给予更多关注。

Irae Kasoff,American scholar,analysizes the ＂Qi＂ and ＂qi＂ of Zhang Zai,following the philosophical concepts;points out the similarities to and differences between Zhang Zai and Er Cheng,criticizes Mu Zong-san’s and Feng You-lan’s researches,showing his strict interpretation spirit and unique interpretation characteristics.In order to broaden the study on Zhang Zai and strengthen cultural exchanges at home and abroad,it is time to pay more attentions to overseas academic research on Zhang Zai.
