理工科专业英语教学改革探讨

Study on the Reforming of Teaching and Learning Subject-based English for Undergraduates of Science and Technology

专业英语是大学英语教学的重要组成部分,但目前专业英语的教学由于重视不够,严重落后于基础英语的教学和全球化浪潮对新时代大学毕业生综合英语能力的需要。通过分析专业英语教学现状和存在问题,以教育部颁布的《大学英语教学大纲(修订版)》和《大学英语教学要求》为指导,探索了理工科专业英语教学在课程设置、教学内容、教学模式、师资队伍以及教学管理和考核等方面的改革措施,为深化专业英语教学改革提供依据。

Subject-based English is a very important constituent of college English. However, since its importance was insufficiently appreciated, its teaching and learning dropped far behind the teaching and learning of public English and could not meet the needs of modem graduates for comprehensive English skills under a new era of globalization. By analyzing the present status and existing problems in teaching and learning of the subject-based English with the guidance of ＂College English Syllabus （revised edition）＂ and ＂Requirements for Teaching and Learning of College English＂ issued by the Ministry of Education, reforming measures for teaching and learning of the subject-based English at curriculum, teaching contents and methods, teachers, management and examination regulations were explored to provide further reforming solutions for the course.
