科学发展观的“以人为本”与中国传统的民本思想

Comparison between " People-oriented" of the Scientific Development View and "People-rooted" of Chinese Traditional Thoughts

党的十六届三中全会,以胡锦涛为总书记的党中央提出了"以人为本"的科学发展观,并强调科学发展观的本质和核心是"以人为本"。"以人为本"既与我国传统的民本思想有着本质的区别,同时又是对传统民本思想的继承和弘扬。通过对科学发展观的"以人为本"与中国传统的民本思想进行比较,以期发现两者的本质区别及其之间的关系。

Hu Jintao, the general secretary of the CPC central committee, put forward people-oriented scientific development view on the party＇s sixteen plenary session, and emphasized that the people-oriented view was the essence and core of scientific development view. The people-oriented view is distinct from our traditional people-rooted thought substantially, but in the meanwhile it inherits and carries forward the traditional people-rooted thought. This paper, in order to find out the essential distinction and relationship between them, attempts to make a comparison between people-oriented scientific development view and the Chinese traditional people-rooted thought.
