Calculation and Simulation of Viewing Zone Based on Parallax Barrier Autostereoscopic Display

摘要 对多视点狭缝光栅自由立体显示器的视区分布进行了研究,发现不同视点的视区中存在串扰区,即视点视区分布呈现出不连续的特征.通过计算狭缝光栅光路方程,建立了狭缝光栅自由立体显示器的视区分布模型,计算给出了合适的立体观看位置和视区范围,并对多视点串扰问题进行了仿真研究.仿真结果验证了视点视区的不连续性以及串扰区的分布特征,从而验证了所提理论的有效性.所提出的方法可以用来对狭缝光栅自由立体显示器参数进行校正,能有效地降低光栅设计难度,提高光栅设计的准确度. The viewing zone distribution of multiview parallax barrier autostereoscopic display was studied. A crosstalk zone was found between the viewing zones of different views, which means that the viewing zone distribution of views is discontinuous. A mathematical model of viewing zone was established by calculating the optical path equations of parallax barrier, which can be used to determine the right position and range for viewing stereo images. Then simulation of the crosstalk was employed. The simulations show the discontinuity of the viewing zone of each view and the distribution of the crosstalk. By this model, the technical parameters of autostereoscopic display can be calibrated properly, thus reducing the difficulty of excogitation and improving the effciency and accuracy of excogitation process.
