The Woman Coming Out from the Shelter——A Case Study of Zhao Huiming in Mao Dun's novel Corrosion

在中国现代文学"女特务"形象群中,赵惠明是很独特的一位。赵惠明形象的独特,首先取决于作品的主题。作者的人性观和人道主义立场也在很大程度上影响到了赵惠明形象的塑造。作者的悲剧艺术使赵惠明这一艺术形象具有较大的感染力。但由于作者没有赋予赵惠明强大的精神内核,在作品中人性就难以呈现高层次的纠葛和对抗。与类似题材的拉夫列尼约夫的《第四十一个》等作品相比,《腐蚀》不仅失之平淡和单薄,同时也失却了震撼人心的力量。

The female spy Zhao Huiming in Mao Dun’s novel Corrosion was unique,which was decided by the theme of this novel.The author’s human nature view and humanitarian grounds influenced him to model the character image,too.The author’s art of tragedy gave the character image strong appeal.The entanglement and struggle of human nature in a high level did not appear in the novel because the author did not give the character image strong spiritual kernel,which caused the novel to beinsipid and thin to a certain extent,lacking the strong power of exciting people’s mind.
