Power is often associated with negative effects such as selfishness and corruption. However, with the prosperity of positive psychology, scholars begin to shift their perspectives to explore the positive effects of power recently. Power is a core dimension of social interactions and relationships, which has positive effects on both its owner and interpersonal interactions. For individuals, power enables its owner a more positive self-concept, more positive evaluation and a much better mental ability. Meanwhile, power promots interpersonal collaboration and communication, which will induce a healthy and orderly development of social and organization life. The effects of power is mediated by personal and situational variables. Limitations and future studies were discussed as well.
