基于Xen的软件再生方法研究与实现

摘要 实现服务器虚拟化的虚拟机系统在长期的运行过程中会出现性能衰退、服务质量下降等"老化"现象。为了避免虚拟机系统软件老化造成的不必要的损失,本文使用软件再生方法来解决这一老化问题,提出了一种改进的虚拟机再生框架,分析了三种对虚拟机监视器进行再生的方法。并在此基础上采用Cold-VM方法和Migrate-VM方法对虚拟机监视器进行了再生实验。实验结果表明,Cold-VM方法对当前系统服务的中断时间较长,而Migrate-VM方法可以有效的降低当前系统服务的中断时间,提高系统的可用性。 With the increase of running time, the virtualization system indicates the phenomenon of aging, in which the performance degrades and the quality of services decreases. We use software rejuvenation to solve the effect of software aging. We provide an improved rejuvenation structure of the virtual machine and analyze three methods to rejuvenate the virtual machine monitor.We design two experiments implementing Cold- VM and Migrate-VM method respectively to rejuvenate the virtual machine monitor. The results shows that Migrate-VM rejuvenation is an effective method, in which the service downtime decreased and the system availability improved, compared to Cold-VM method.
