文学伦理学批评视域中的《海狼》

A Study of The Sea Wolf from the Perspective of Ethical Literary Criticism

本文从文学伦理学批评的视角对《海狼》进行了重新解读。狼是拉森的象征,体现的是其丛林法则意识。狼.拉森遵循弱肉强食的丛林法则,与海洋生物及大海本身竞争,并在"幽灵"号这个微型人类社会中照搬动物界的丛林法则来维持秩序,这是典型的伦理混乱,是其失败的根本原因。海狼之死还告诉我们:人类的生存与发展不能伦理越位,只有与自然和谐共存人类才有未来。

This paper is to re-interpret The Sea Wolf from the perspective of ethical literary criticism. Wolf is the embodiment of Larsen, the protagonist and it represents his consciousness of the law of jungle. Wolf Larsen competes with sea creatures and the sea itself for survival and in doing it he abides by the law of jungle, and to maintain the order on the Ghost the miniature human society he adopts the law as well. This is a typical example of ethical chaos and hence he fails in the end. The death of Sea Wolf reveals to us ： We human beings shouldn＇ t invade the domain of animals for the sake of our own interests. Only when we learn to coexist with Nature can we have future.
