Understanding the "Nature of Man" from the Perspective of Marxist Historical Materialism

"人的本质"究竟是什么,不同的人对"人的本质"的看法存在差异。马克思主义以前的哲学家们,对"人的本质"的理解存在着时代的局限性。只有马克思才真正破解了这一"历史之谜"。原因就在于,马克思运用了其科学的方法即历史唯物主义。因而,用历史唯物主义的方法厘清马克思的思想历程,是加深对马克思主义哲学及其相关问题包括"人的本质"的理解的重要路径。

What is ＂man＂？ People have different understandings to it at different time. They may even have different understandings at different stages of life. The philosophers before Karl Marx are inevitably limited in their understandings to this concept. For Marx himself, his understanding underwent a process from being immature to being mature. Therefore, it is of great necessity to apply the methodology of Marxist historical materialism to sort out the development of Marx＇s philosophy and his understanding towards the ＂human nature＂. By doing so can we truly unveil the mystery of ＂human nature＂, and the vigor and vitality of Marxist philosophy can be highlighted.
