摘要
自传体小说《华女阿五》是黄玉雪的成名之作,为华裔文学的繁荣奠定了基础。黄玉雪的成长经历彰显了美国华裔女性成长的艰辛。运用成长小说的相关理论,探析主人公的生活经历和心路历程,经过迷失中的探寻和反叛后的回归,黄玉雪最终得到了家庭和社会的双重认可,实现了真正意义上的成长。
Jade Snow＇ s Fifth Chinese Daughter is the famous work as autobiographical novel, it laid solid foundation for the prosperity of female Chinese American literature. Jade Snow＇ s growth reveals the hard initiation process of female Chinese American. This paper mainly explores the protagonists＇ life experiences and mental journey through some related initiation story theory. Jade Snow not only gets the double recognition from her family and the society but also finally realizes the real meaning of growth through seeking in loss and returning after rebellion.
