摘要
The introduction of the practice of electing villagers committee member--an important reform of the grassroots administrative system in Chinas countryside--offers to woman the opportunity of participating in public affairs, at the same time presenting a challenge to them. This article analyses the conditions and difficulties involved in woman’s participation in villagers committee election, and suggests that a favorable environment be created for woman’s participation in the administration of public affairs in the countryside.
