Construction of the Self-recognized Regional and Ethnic Cultural Symbols on Standard Geographic Names of Sunan Yugur Autonomous County of Gansu Province

地名是人类活动的产物和文化传承的印记,蕴含着丰富的民族文化内涵,搜集整理地名对一个地域或一个民族具有重要意义。与此同时,旧地名蕴含的新文化内涵需要提炼和发掘。面对裕固族传统人名资源越来越枯竭和萎缩的现实,积极搜集整理裕固族常用人名是当务之急。倡议政府主导加强地方民族文化建设工作。

The regional name, a rich ethnic cultural connotation, is not only the product of human activity, but al- so the symbol of cultural heritage. Therefore, it is important for an ethnic group or an area to collect and sort out its own regional name. Meanwhile, the fresh culture meaning in a region~ former name needs to be refined and explored. Facing the reality that Yugur traditional name resource has been exhausted increasingly, it is urgent that we should ac- tively collect and sort out the Yugur common - use names and advocate the government to manage and strengthen the construction of local ethnic culture.
