In this paper, five species of Muscidae are described as new to science. All the type specimens are preserved in the Medical Entomological Museum, lnstitute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing, China. 1. Neomyia nitelivirida, sp. nov. (Figs.1~5) ♂: Body length 6.0 mm~8.5 mm. This new species is closely related to Neomyia mengi (Fan, 1965), but differs from the latter in: Frons about 0.85~0.88 times as wide as 3rd antennal segment; antennae dark to shining black; lower margin of male cerci broad and flat in posterior view; pregonites narrow and sharp apically. ♀: Body length 7.5 mm~9.0 mm. Frons slightly narrower than one third (0.25~0.29) of head width at middle part; parafrontalia about 1.3 times the interfrontalia and densely with fine hairs; ori 13~15 (weaker and slender); interfrontalia at anterior one third about as wide as the distance between outer margins of posterior ocelli; ocellar triangle not reaching fore margin of frons; mid tibia without pd ; hind femur with a premedial pv . Holotype ♂, Mt. Laoban, (800 m; 29°59′N, 102°57′E), Yaan, Sichuan Prov., 8-XII-1997, coll. by Feng Yan; Paratypes 7♂♂, 7-XII-1980, same locality and collector as holotype; 39♂♂,10♀♀, Mt. Zhougong (1700 m;29°58′N, 102°54′E), Yaan, Sichuan Prov., 1-IV, XI~XII-1983, same collector as holotype. 2. Myospila mingshanana , sp. nov. (Figs.6~9) ♂: Body length 7.5 mm. This new species is very similar to Myospila lenticeps (Thomson, 1869), but differs from the latter in: tibiae black; stpl 2∶2; surstyli of male backwards curved and deeply concave on posterior margin in lateral view; cerci narrowed apicad and blunt on lower margin in posterior view. ♀: Unknown. Holotype ♂, Mingshan (the Tombs of Revolutionary Martyrs, 700 m; 30°04′N, 103°05′E), Sichuan Prov., 3-IV-1980, coll. by Feng Yan. 3. Helina platycerca , sp. nov. (Figs.10~14) ♂: Body length 5.0 mm; body and legs black. This new species is colsely related to Helina deleta (Stein, 1914), but differs from the latter in: Eyes bare; fore tibia with l p ; arista with pubescence; both sides of cerci in male slightly concaved in inwards in posterior view; surstyli about 4.5 times as long as broad on middle part in lateral view. ♀: Unknown. Holotype ♂, Hanyuan (Mt. Jiaoding, 3550 m; 29°22′N, 102°53′E), Sichuan Prov., 1-VIII-1986, coll. by Feng Yan. 4. Helina xinanana , sp. nov. (Figs.15~18) ♂: Body length 8.5 mm. This new species is closely related to Helina pleuranthus Wu, Fang et Fan, 1988, but differs from the latter in: The r-m and m-m cross veins with cloud; frons about as wide as anterior ocellus at narrowest part; surstyli in male not tongue like in lateral view; cerci about 6.0 times as long as wide on middle part, anterior margin at apical part without a gap in lateral view. ♀: Unknown. Holotype ♂, Mt. Erlang (Muyepeng, 2900 m; 29°53′N, 102°10′E), Sichuan Prov., 25-V-1984, coll. by Feng Yan. 5. Mydaea discocerca , sp. nov. (Figs.19~21) ♂: Body length 6.0 mm~8.0 mm; body dark black, legs yellow. This new species is closely related to Mydaea discimana Malloch, 1920, but differs from the latter in: Frons about slightly wider or as wide as diameter of anterior ocellus; fore femur yellow and wholly semihyaline; cerci round on the whole outer margins in caudal view, apical part blunt and round in lateral view; female with the 5th tarsomere of front tarsus not disk like. ♀: Body length 9.0 mm~10.0 mm. Frons about one third (0.316~0.330) the head width on middle part; 6 ori , 2 ors ; spot and stripe on scutum undistinct; fore tibia with 1~2 p ; abdomen covered with very thin pollen. Holotype ♂, Mt. Erlang (Ganhaizi, 2790 m; 29°54′N, 102°09′E), Sichuan Prov., 3-VII-1988, coll. by Feng Yan; Paratypes 5♂♂, 2♀♀, Coll. by Feng Lifu, same locality and date as holotype.
