艺术生产力和艺术生产关系的统一构成艺术生产方式。艺术生产力由艺术手段、艺术对象和艺术家组成。艺术手段包括艺术工具等物质资料以及艺术语言、艺术技巧、艺术经验等。艺术对象就是社会现实生活。艺术家将二者结合创作出艺术作品,是艺术生产力中最活跃的决定性因素。艺术生产关系决定于物质生产力,不同社会的艺术生产关系不同。
