我国外文编目亟待明确的若干原则

Principles that Need to be Clarified in Cataloguing of Foreign Books

对我国编目机构来说,既不应由文献文种决定MARC格式,又不能用MARC格式确定编目文种。其正确的著录用格式只有一个,那就是CNMARC。另外,不同文种的MARC数据应实行混合建库,而不应分库存储。

CNMARC is the only one correct way to describe bibliography in China. Because literature language can＇t determine MARC format and MARC format can also not determine literature language. Furthermore, MARC data that describes different language should store in one database, and shouldn＇t store respectively.
