全站仪作为一种集光、机、电为一体的高技术测量仪器，可以较好的完成水文工作中地形图测绘、浮标测流、洪水抢测等项目。结合衡水市在地形测量中的应用情况，从全站仪前期准备、确定导线点、导线测量计算、碎步测量、连线成图、后期加工出图等一系列操作过程，分析全站仪的操作使用过程。全站仪可以较好的完成原需经纬仪完成的工作，为测量精度的提高提供了科学保证。

As a set of optical, mechanical, electrical high-tech measuring instrument, total station can complete the hydrological work such as topographic mapping,buoys flow measurement, testing and other items to grab the flood. This article combined the application situation of topographic measurements in Hengshui City. From a series of operation process-total station＇s prereparation, determination of the wire points, wire measurement and calculation, choppy measurement, connection diagram, post-processing of figure, through which we analyzed the using process of total stationts operation. Total station can complete the work done by theodolite firstly, and provides a scientific guarantee for the im- provement of the accuracy of measurement.
