CICPA publishes “Policies and Measures to Support Accounting Firms Becoming Much More Competitive and Larger”

为深入实施会计师事务所（以下简称事务所）做强做大战略,鼓励和扶持事务所加快实现规模化、国际化、品牌化、网络化发展,进一步提升服务国家建设的能力,2012年6月8日,中注协发布《关于支持会计师事务所进一步做强做大的若干政策措施》（以下简称《支持措施》）,明确，

The captioned document considers 'becoming more competitive and larger' as the major strategy for the development of the accountancy profession,which plays a leading role in implementing and promoting other strategies.It clearly proposes 6 key directions and 24 supporting measures to encourage accounting firms to grow to become more competitive and larger.The 6 key directions include:encouraging strong firms to initiate mergers and unify management,to undertake annual report audit engagements of large banks and insurance companies,to diversify business scope,to go international,to speed up informatization and to form accounting service industry cluster.Meanwhile,there are 24 supporting measures in total for the 6 directions,covering policies,capital,professional talents,techniques,services,etc.CICPA will next draft relevant rules to ensure all the supporting measures are properly in place.
