Sinophasma mirabile is a newly found important leaf eating pest feeding on Fagaceae trees in the Eastern China .It has one generation a year and overwinters as eggs in Taishun County, Zhejiang Province.Its nymphs and adults feed on leaves,which results in the decline or death of host trees. The paper deals with its life history,development,habit,food capacity,natural enemies and control.It can be effectively controlled by applying smoke generators,injecting insecticides into the trunks of hosts or dusting insecticides to the ground.
