“Utopian” Rather than “the Other Shore”:the Historical Value of Herzen's Socialist Ideology

本文将赫尔岑及其思想置于俄国思想史和俄国革命史的双重视野之下,从历史主义的认识论视角出发,考察赫尔岑社会主义思想的本体内涵,评价其历史价值。赫尔岑是俄国农民社会主义思想的创始人,他的思想的核心是人道主义,它是基于对俄国村社传统的珍视和对西欧资产阶级政治的批判基础之上的。他的思想和政治理想超越了斯拉夫派和西方派,真实地反映了俄国历史发展的要求和时代的呼唤。

Putting Herzen and his ideology under the views of the history of Russian ideology and that of Russian revolution, this article intends to analyze the intension of Herzen＇ s socialist ideology and to evaluate its historical value from the perspective of the historical epistemology. Herzen is regarded as the founder of socialist ideology for Russian peasants. The core of his thinking is humanitarianism, which is based on the treasure of Russian village community tradition and the criticism of bourgeois politics in Western Europe. Herzen＇ s ideology and political ideals surmounted Slavophiles and the Westernizers, and truly reflected the requirement of the development of Russian history and the call of that time.
