Custody is a special enforcement action that continuingly restricts the personal freedom of suspects or defendants before the effective implementation of judgment.Although it protects the normal conduct of litigation to a certain extent,it does great harm to human rights.The article analyzes the current situation of recessive extended custody existing in investigation and prosecution stage in judicial practice and the reason for difficult supervision,and provides countermeasures to resolve it.
