开封报业始于北宋。《河南官报》的创立拉开了开封近代报业的序幕。在民国年间形成了三次高潮 ,先后创办报纸多达百余种。在激烈的政治斗争中 ,开封报业中的有志之士坚持伸张正义 ,讨伐无道 ,付出了血的代价 ,以《开封民立报》、《豫报》、《河南民报》、《中国时报》最有影响。
