Implementation of Modbus Communication Protocol With Virtual Serial Port

分析了USB通讯设备(CDC)协议的机制与流程,实现USB虚拟串口,并提出通过虚拟串口实现Modbus协议通信方法。本设计使用操作系统自带的USB驱动程序和基于串口通信的调试、应用软件,省去了重新开发上位机软件的麻烦。此方法为工业控制网络提供一种更为简捷的通信手段。

This paper analyzes the mechanism and flow of USB CDC Class and implements the virtual serial port.It also proposes the method of implementing modbus communication protocol through the virtual serial port.The USB driver of operating system,the debugging and application software based on serial port still are available.and avoiding the trouble of developing software.This method provides one simple means of communication for the industrial control network.
