His ideas of reification and class consciousness are closely related to his understanding of Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei as a historical prophet. Whereas the bourgeoisie is foreseen as a grave digger for itself, the progressiveness of the Communist Party is thought of as capable of uniting the present inter- ests with the ultimate objectives, thus preventing from the coming of the vested interest groups. Likewise, the ideas of Geschichte und Klassenbewusstsein by Lucacs are true of those of the Manifest der Kommunis- tischen Partei.
