On the Reform of College English Teaching Models Based on CBI Theory ——Taking Universities in Guizhou Province for Example

内容依托式教学(CBI)是一种把语言与内容结合起来的外语教学模式,旨在达到利用语言进行交流和学术研究的目的。通过介绍CBI教学模式理论,结合贵州省高校大学英语教学状况,采用主题和保护两种CBI教学模式,探讨如何进行该高校的大学英语教学模式改革,以期进一步提高学生的英语综合使用能力。

CBI is a foreign teaching model that combines language and content for the purpose of realizing exchange and academic research by means of language.On the basis of introducing CBI teaching models theory and analyzing college English teaching situation in Guizhou Province,the paper is to explore how to develop the reform of college English teaching models in the universities by adopting theme-based approach and sheltered-content course in order to further improve students’ comprehensive English utilizing ability.
