《科学》杂志(1915-1950)是中国数学史研究的发源地之一,其中数学史类文章的作者多为中国数学史界的开创者、奠基人或代表人物,他们的研究对中国数学史研究具有奠基和开创性作用.《科学》中的数学史类文章的内容以发现和研究中国古代数学史料为主,具有重视史料的收集和研究,重视国内外学术交流的特点,为中国现代数学史研究奠定了基础.

Science magazine（1915-1950） is the one of origins of the study of history of mathematics.The authors who wrote papers about history of mathematics in Science magazine were mostly pioneers,founders or representatives.Their research on the history of Chinese mathematics has played basic and pioneering role.The content of articles in Science was mainly based on the discovery and research of the historical data of Chinese ancient mathematics.The characteristics are to pay more attention to the collection and research of historical data,moreover domestic and international academic exchanges,which lays a foundation for the study of Chinese modern history of mathematics.
