For the students of vocational college,English is one of the main courses.Meanwhile,most students think English is difficult to learn,and one of the biggest obstacles is the study of vocabulary.The quantity of vocabulary is the key to learning English.So basic vocabulary teaching is important.The paper,based on vocabulary teaching,states the importance of vocabulary teaching and teaching method of vocabulary,which will be conductive to the improvement of English teaching.
