The Literary Evolution of the Vampire Image In Works from Baron,Stoke to Rice

以文学中的吸血鬼为研究对象,追溯吸血鬼意象在拜伦、斯托克和赖斯三位英美作家笔下的"成长史",并绘制这一意象在英美文学发展的不同时期嬗变的轨迹。在经历了三个阶段(浪漫主义时期、维多利亚时代、当代)的"成长"和嬗变后,吸血鬼意象具有了一些"常量",而其中亘古不变的就是爱与负罪感。

Focusing on the image of vampire in literature,this paper traces the ＂growth＂ of vampire under the pens of three British and American writers（Baron,Stoke and Rice）,and charts its evolution in British and American literature.After undergoing three phases in its growth and evolution（the Romantic period,the Victorian Age and the Contemporary period）,the vampire image has attained some invariables,among which love and the sense of guilt are the most sustaining and constant.
