摘要
本文运用铁木志科(Maria Tymoczko)提出的翻译的转喻理论,将翻译置于文化的大背景下研究其转喻功能——创造和联系功能,阐明了文化翻译中转喻运用的合理性和动态优选性,论证了转喻在翻译过程中的作用,即转喻是为了动态、辩证的"忠实"和"对等"所采取的必要措施,指出翻译只有将宏观的文化研究和微观的语言学研究有机结合,才能全面忠实地再现原文思想。
Applying the metonymic theory in translation proposed by Maria Tymoczko,the present paper studies the metonymic function of translation（creation and connection） in cultural context.It expounds the rationality and dynamic optimum of metonymic process in the translation of culture,which proves the necessity to use the metonymic strategy in order to produce a dynamic and dialectical effect of ＂faithfulness＂ and ＂equivalence＂.The study verifies only through the organic integration of macro cultural and micro linguistic studies can translation achieve an overall faithful representation of the source text.
