A Textual Research on Tang Yifen's Activities Concerning Dramas

在清代戏曲家中,汤贻汾的独特性首先表现在他的武臣身份,其次在于他所作杂剧《逍遥巾》以"自我登场"而秉承的"写心"传统,以及剧作中别树一帜的慷慨磊落之气格。正是他所继承的忠孝家风、博雅家学造就了他人格气质乃至文风的慷慨磊落,而他之所以倾心于戏曲创作与家乐欣赏则与曲家间的广泛交游密切相关。汤贻汾的戏曲观在于将戏曲活动视作抒写心性、陶冶性情的途径之一,是为"游戏能工便是仙"。

Of the dramatists in the Qing Dynasty, Tang Yifen was characterized for his position as a military officer and his poetic drama ＂Xiao Yao Jin＂, in which he had demonstrated his generosity and justice. It is the loyalty and piety he had inherited that made his personality and writing style. The reason why he devoted himself in drama writing is be- cause he had often had communications with dramatists, and ideas on drama were that drama was one of the channels for dramatists to express their emotions and to improve their mind.
