摘要
车牌定位是车牌识别系统中的关键技术之一,车牌定位的质量直接影响着后续字符识别的结果。本文提出了一种结合投影法和形态学的车牌定位算法,首先对图像进行预处理,接着利用水平投影算法确定车牌的上下边界,然后利用形态学方法迭代确定车牌的左右边界,最后进行精定位。实验表明,该方法具有较高的定位精度。
License plate location is one of important technique in License plate recognition system. The quality of license plate location affects the results of character recognition directly. The method based on projection and mathematical morphology for license plate location was proposed.Firstly,the image preproeessing is done and the horizontal projection algorithm is used to determine the upper and lower bonndary of the license plate. Then, iterated morphologieal is used to determine the left and right boundary of the license plate. Finally, precision positioning is done. The experimental results show that the method has a higher positioning accuracy.
