The article introduces the design and construction of a wide-deck ovate single-pylon cable-stayed bridge.This bridge is Suyang Highway Bridge 2 and is located in Tiexi Phase III Development Area.The total length of bridge is 180 m and its width is 50 m.This bridge is a special shaped inclined simple-pylon combined girder cable-stayed bridge.The span combination is 60-m side span and 120-m main span with the consolidation system of pylon,pier and girder.The main span and the side span are separately arranged with 10 pairs of double-plane spatial sector stayed cables.The axes of the main steel pylon with regard to the intersecting position of the main pylon axes and the semi main girder height tilts 150 towards the side span to compose the door-arch structure for a curve.The 8-m diameter of round hollow-out part is arranged at the top of the main pylon.The spatial structure of the main pylon is violent,its modeling is beautiful and unique,and its structural stress is more complex.It is the most important in the structural design of the whole bridge.
