摘要
根据高校实验室的需求,提出了一种基于VirtualBox的windows2003软件RAID虚拟化实验平台。为解决了频繁读写对物理磁盘可能造成损耗的问题,引进了将虚拟磁盘文件设置到Ramdisk所创建的内存盘中的方法。本文还对RAID1和RAID5和IO速率和容错性进行对比和验证。通过该实验平台,RAID实验能够在普通的PC计算机中进行,大大降低实验成本,对理解RAID技术的概念和进行相关实验具有很好的示范作用。
According to the needs of the university laboratory,a virtual experiment platform for windows 2003 software RAID is proposed based on VirtualBox.The virtual disk is created in RAM disk to avoid possible corruption due to frequently read/write operation.A comparison of the IO rates beteen RAID1 and RAID5 is made with IOMeter and their fault tolerance performance are verified.RAID experiments can be carried out with personal computer owe to the virtual experiment platform,which greatly reduces equipment and maintenance costs of laboratory,and enhance the understanding of the concept and experiment of RAID.
