党的建设总体布局是新时期我们党围绕"建设什么样的党,怎样建设党",对执政党建设规律长期探索形成的重要成果。以改革创新精神实践党的建设总体布局,必须准确把握党的各项建设在总体布局中的地位和相互关系,突出执政能力建设和先进性建设在党的建设中的"主线"地位,着力抓好思想建设、组织建设、作风建设、制度建设、反腐倡廉建设五项基础性建设的重点,明确执政党建设的总目标,提高党的建设科学化水平,全面有序地推进党的建设新的伟大工程。

To tackle the queries such as ＂what kind of party the CPC will be？ And How？＂ the ruling party of China has conducted an arduous long-term study before hammering out its overall development layout in the new era. With reform and innovation at the core, the overall layout stresses the interaction between different tasks of the Party. It also protrudes the construction of the Party＇s governance capability as well as its advanced nature. To realize the Party＇s goals and lift its construction standard, the layout has listed five major categories： ideological building, organization, work-style improvement, institutionalization and anti-corruption campaign.
