关于《水浒传》的作者,在"外证"方面,僧施满家于1918年抄录的《施氏家簿谱》中"字耐庵"三字无法得出施彦端就是施耐庵的结论。从《水浒传》的地理态势、气候物像、方言土语、人文风俗等诸方面"内证"来看,其作者不可能是江北的施彦端,而肯定是一位对杭州极为熟悉的书会才人。以《水浒传》是"小说作品"来解释对江北描写舛错极多,但对杭州的描写却极其精准,更加无法说明其作者是进士出身的江北人。况且,《水浒传》中还有不少内容是去世于明洪武三年的施彦端进士所不可能写出的。

With Water Margin is ＂novel work＂ to explain to the description of the north of Yangtze river mixed up very much mistakes, but to the description of Hangzhou is extremely accurate, it is no way to show that the author is from the north of Yangtze river as a scholar（ Jinshi）. Foremore, lots of content of Water Margin can not been created by Scholar（Jinshi） Shi Yanduan who died at Hongwu 3rd year of the Ming Dynasty.
