从清末民初的翻译趋向看赞助人对译介活动的操控

Manipulation of patronage on translation trend in late Qing and early Republic

以往对清末民初这一时期翻译趋向的研究往往是沿着中国近代翻译的大致历程,将其划分为三个阶段来进行,对史料描述多而分析少,而其阶段的划分也是很难明确进行,毕竟翻译活动的展开一直是在缓缓进行中的。沿着中国近代社会发展进程这一线索,将这一时期的翻译趋向缓缓铺展开来,继而结合赞助人理论可以看出意识形态与经济利益对翻译趋向的作用和影响,从而可以看出翻译事业的发展不仅仅是专业人士在推动,它也不断受到文学系统外部因素,即赞助人的操控。

The translation history in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China is always being divided into stages according to the previous study of the translation history during this period, yet it is hard to draw a clear dividing line ,for the translation activities are always being carried out continuously. Moreover, there are more de- scriptions of the translation history than analyses of it. So the paper attempts to show the translation trend during this period according to the social progress of the modem China, then explore the manipulation of patronage on the trans- lation trend in terms of ideology and economic interest, from which it is to be seen that the progress of translation cause is promoted not only by the professionals, but also by patronage, the factor which operates mostly outside the literary system.
