On the Legal Perspective in Building a Modern Credibility System

当前中国社会存在的较为严重的诚信危机,其根源在于中国诚信制度的建设一直侧重于道德构建的层面而忽视了法律构建的作用。从法律层面构建中国现代诚信制度十分重要且势在必行。只有从立法、司法、执法和守法等诸方面努力,通过立法使诚信得到法律保障,通过司法和执法使诚信落到实处,通过守法使法律与道德产生合力,才能建立比较完善的现代诚信制度。

Chinese society is currently facing a very serious credibility crisis. One of the reasons for the crisis is that Chinese society emphasizes the importance of the role played by morality while ignores that of law in building a credibility system. Therefore, it is urgent to build a credibility system in China through law. An effective legislation will provide legal protection for a credibility system. And judicial process and execution will materialize the credibility system. Citizens＇ conformity to law embodies the force of law and morality. Only when all these three legal aspects have been accomplished, a better modern credibility system will be formed.
