On Exploring the Key Factors in Bilingual Tourism Teaching

摘要 双语教学被认为是实施旅游国家化人才培养的重要手段之一,双语教学应具有明确的教学目的并与人才培养目标一致。国内双语教学不等同于国外的双语教学,并和全英语教学从教学对象和教学模式等方面存在明显的差异。旅游高等教育双语教学应根据人才培养目标,运用请进来、送出去和自己培养等方式,培育适合人才培养目标的双语教学团队,采用适宜的双语教才,分层级开展双语教学。 Bilingual teaching is regarded as an effective means in international tourism education.Therefore,it must have a clear teaching objective to serve the purpose of student training.Bilingual teaching in China is quite different from bilingual education outside China because students and the teaching modes are very different.Tourism higher education in Chinese universities should develop the bilingual teaching on the basis of their training objectives.While international tourism experts are invited at the beginning stage,Chinese teachers with good English command and tourism knowledge can either be sent abroad or serve as teaching assistants so that a bilingual teaching group is gradually formed.At the same time,appropriate textbooks should be used and in bilingual teaching consideration must be given to students’ English level and their career plans.
